The largest wave ever recorded, measured 210 feet (64 meters) That's tall! The largest mountain range, is in the ocean! All life on earth is dependent on the ocean! Without it, our planet would be uninhabitable, like Mars!

The ocean is deep! The average depth of the ocean is 12,400 feet, and deepest part of the ocean, the Marianas Trench is 35,800 feet deep! That's almost 7 miles. In the deep ocean, fish glow like glow sticks.
The ocean is BIG! Around 70% of the earth is ocean. So big that, we have only explored 5% of the worlds oceans! It's full of life! 94% of all life on earth, is aquatic. The largest creatures on earth live in the sea. The Blue Whale. Some of the smallest creatures on earth live in the sea too! Plankton. There are between 700,000 and 1 million different species living in the ocean, around 10,000 types of seaweed and 20,000 different types of fish!
